Summer Associates work on stateside mission fields for eight to 12 weeks from May to August. They are assigned to work with nationally appointed U.S. missionaries and a variety of other ministries:
- Offices
- Libraries
- Teen Challenge centers
- Maintenance / Repairs

- Summer camp staff
- Music directors
- Nurses
- and in many other areas of ministry.

Attempts are made to place applicants in the types and places of service they choose.
Application Procedures
Application forms are obtained through the U.S. MAPS department or online. Applicants are required to submit references from a pastor, a close Christian friend and another church friend or leader. Summer associate openings are usually received by October. Assignments are made as soon as possible and most are confirmed by March or April.
