Ministry Opportunities

U.S. MAPS is committed to building churches and changing lives. This servant team ministry is helping local churches and districts with construction and evangelism needs by providing volunteer participation.

U.S. MAPS offers lay people the opportunity to use their God-given skills and experience missions firsthand.  Areas of opportunity include:  RV volunteers—construction and evangelism; Church Teams—construction and evangelism; and Short and Long Term Missions through Summer and Missionary Associate programs.

RV VOLUNTEERS
RVers share their time and talents by volunteering from a few days a year to full time working in construction and evangelism.  Presently there are 96 projects that include churches, Bible colleges and universities, Teen Challenge centers, children’s homes and district camps.  Last year volunteers saved projects an estimated $2,555,100 in labor costs alone, and gave more than 127,755 hours of their time.

CHURCH TEAMS
This ministry could involve an individual or several people who have a desire to work on a short-term missions project.  Their length of stay can be from a few days to several weeks and involve construction or evangelism.  Teams who register through the U.S. MAPS office are eligible for World Missions Giving Credit and insurance coverage while on assignment.

MISSIONARY ASSOCIATES
U.S. MAPS missionary associates are volunteers, 18 years of age or older, who offer their services and talents in a special field for 1-2 years.  They assist U.S. missionaries and other approved Assemblies of God ministries.

SUMMER ASSOCIATES
U.S. MAPS summer associates work on stateside mission fields for 8 to 12 weeks.  They are assigned to work with nationally appointed U.S. missionaries and a variety of other ministries.
