RVers come from a variety of professional and vocational backgrounds, ages, and gender. Many are retired or near retirement, but don’t have to be. (Today is not the day to retire!) RVers can serve for a few weeks to months at a location, and several spend an entire year traveling across America assisting missionaries and ministries on construction projects in their RV. If you are interested in an RV opportunity, visit the Get Involved section.
Do I have to be retired to become an RV Volunteer?
No! Volunteers work anywhere from two weeks to all year long, and can be eighteen to ninety-nine years old. If you are willing and able to serve, we have a place for you!
Do I have to own an RV?
Not at all. While most of our volunteers own and utilize RVs, many campgrounds and Teen Challenge Centers provide housing for volunteers who come to work on a building project. Contact the U.S. MAPS office for more information.
Do I get to choose what project I work on?
Absolutely! The U.S. MAPS office provides a regularly updated projects list to approved RV Volunteers. If you'd like to become a RV Volunteer, please complete this form and e-mail it to our office. You will also need the ministry reference and a personal reference forms.
